I've been woodworking since I was a small child and my dad bought me my first hammer and built me a small workbench out of 2x4 lumber. I still have both the hammer and the workbench. I took a woodworking class in fifth grade and built a gun rack for my grandfather. I think he mostly used it to hang John Deere hats on. I also made a shelf top book rack in a 4H club.
I now have a pretty nice workshop that takes up most of my basement that I use to make furniture. I have a 3 HP cabinet saw, a 6 inch jointer, a 13 inch planer, a 14 inch band saw, a router table and a 12 inch miter saw. I also have hand tools and jigs too numerous to mention here. It is a shop that I have spent the last twelve years building piece by piece.

I created this blog to talk about woodworking topics, my current projects, my past projects and my workshop projects.
